Octaaf Radio is a hobby project made out of love for music. We keep data to a minimum. This is what does happen.
Statistics (Google Analytics)
With Google Analytics we see how many people visit the site, which pages they view and which country they come from. This happens only if you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. Without your consent we do not load Google Analytics and no analytics cookies are set. With consent, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_V2Q9N59TD7 and receives data about your visit (such as the pages you view and a truncated IP address). Google may process this data outside the EU.
Changing your choice
Your choice is remembered in your browser (localStorage, key octaaf-consent). Use the Cookie settings link below or at the bottom of every page to choose again. If you decline, we remove the Google Analytics cookies.
Without consent
- Web server: our server technically records which address (IP) requests which file. This is needed for security and fixing faults and is not used for profiling.
- Music information: to show a cover and the track length for the song that is playing, your browser requests this from Apple's search service (iTunes Search). Apple receives your IP address and the song title.
- Listening: the live stream is delivered by our own server.
Links to other sites
We link to Facebook and listening platforms, among others. What they do with your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
An email to info@octaafradio.nl is forwarded to the site's administrator. We only use your address to reply.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of data we hold about you. Email us for this. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
